It's All About You....
A portrait session with me will begin when we start to talk, exchange ideas, share visions. From here, I create an inspirations board to share with you - I find images or ideas inspired by our conversation and ask for your feedback - what you like about the board, and equally importantly, what you dislike!
With Some Input From Me....
Sometimes, I can create everything I want to produce in one place, other times, just as the Old Masters would search for a background, paint that and leave a space for their subject, I may take photographs of parts of the image I see in my mind's eye and merge the individual images to create the whole scene..
And Some Past Influences...
My photography has been influenced by the Fairy stories and Nursery Rhymes read to me in my early childhood., by the theatre I was brought up to enjoy and participate in as an older child and teenager, and by the paintings I have grown to love as an adult.
A Picture Paints A Thousand Words...
My portrait sessions are designed to produce images in a classic style, so what better way to record them than the classic print! A physical copy to be lived with, rather than just a digital image, shared when the image is fresh, but soon to be left on a memory device somewhere, looked at when you remember.

Displaying photographs on our wall does so much more than decorate our surroundings.
For a child, being surrounded by photographs reinforces their understanding of where they come from and reminds them how much they are valued.
But not just children benefit by seeing their images displayed proudly. Imagine how seeing an image of yourself that you love makes you feel every single time you catch sight of it - what does that do for your self-esteem?

The Studio
My purpose-built Studio is based within Cardiff Indoor Flea Market. It's not very big, (the Studio, that is - the Flea Market is huge), but has the advantage of giving me access to the most amazing collection of of Props and Accessories. As a bonus, they're nearly all available to purchase should you fall completely in love with something we use!
Open Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday it's easy to pop in in for a pre-session consultation, or just a chat to see some samples and discuss the ideas you have, gain inspiration from a look around, and try out the cafe as well.
Dogs are welcome, not just in the Studio, but throughout the building. The Studio is enclosed so there aren't too many distractions and the dogs (and people) can feel comfortable.
For anyone visiting the area, a Studio Session can be combined with an outdoor Session, being within easy reach of the countryside, beach, forests, as well as some lovely parks and gardens.
